Using Poser 6. I'm working with a window 400x480 and I want to render my animation as a series of bitmaps. The dimensions of the finished work are to be 200x240. On the Make Movie screen, I set the render size to 200x240, but Poser still renders them as 400x480. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I guess you could always just set your working window to 200x240 for the time being and render your movie from the current settings. Then later on change your working window back to 400x480.

You can try this script.

I wrote this for someone else for sort of the same thing, and just adjusted it to work the way you are looking for. I am at work right now, so I haven't been able to test, but I monitor the boards all day and night most of the time, so if there are any problems, please let me know.

(You need to change the file extension to .py instead of .txt. It's a Python script.)

Oops, forgot to fix one thing. Please use this version instead...

On the Make Movie screen, you probably set the "Resolution" field to 200 x 240. Make sure that you also set the popup menu below it to not read "Preview Size" or you'll end up with what you described. Select "full (200 x 240)" from the popup menu.

Oh, I should also point something else out - On the Make Movie screen, the 'Preview Size' is set to an odd size. I can't mind exactly what it is at the mo (something like 492x450), but it means that setting it to to 'haf' won't get the desired result. Additionally, Poser 6 won't let me set the document window to 200x240 - the lowest it'll go to is 292x240. Thanks, Destro - I'll give that script a try.

just pick "full (200 x 240)" from the "resolution" popup menu in the Make Movie dialog. It sounds like your interpreting where it says "preview size (some odd size)" as some option thats not enabled, when actually that specifies your actual output resolution. Poser can be a little ambiguous in these ways. hopefully thats all it is, if you still see a problem contact their tech support so they will fix it.

the make movie window says that the full size is the same as the preview size (492x450)
