Great offer for those who don't already own Infinite. I wonder if Lightwave 3D is Lighwave 8 or an earlier release. Anyway, I'm saving for Cinema 4D R9!

I believe it's 8.03, the current version. For some reason I was surprised to see E-on and Newtek teaming up like that; kinda cool IMO. Being a Lwaver I'd love to see these guys integrate more tightly, It'd be a win-win. Good luck with your Cinema! krimpr.

I hope they don't integrate to the point one will have to have both programs before we can use them like Daz did with bryce 5.5 and Daz/Studio. As long as they stay as standalone applications I will be a happy camper. :)

In my opinion, Daz bought Bryce and released a rather uninteresting upgrade just so they can sell you more Daz products.

Lightwave already has plugins for Vue, although they're far from perfect. I'd like to see them polished up & working better. Also, I'd like to import atmospheres from Vue to LW for better matching of renders.

DMM, you can export your Vue atmo in HDR format and map your sky with it Lightwave ( well, I suppose it's possible anyway)

Hmm yes but I'm thinking more of real lighting & atmospheric effects, such as haze, fog etc. Kind of like Ozone does, but using actual V5I algorithms for a good match.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....
