Well, his name is No(No-eh), like that guy who modeled a big ship long time ago and saved all animals from a global flooding. I feel happy, this is my first son.
Here follows a work started to kill some free time...

I find that a submarine is the thing closest to a starship. There are many concepts: for somebody a starship is an anabolized plane, for some other is an assembled thing (like Alien's Nostromo), but when I think to a starship I remember Starblazers of Leiji Matsumoto or the opening scenes of Luc Besson's Fifth Element.

Submarine or starship? Both I believe
I like the idea of a ship that can submerge into hyperspace, instead jumping, as you commonly read or watch.
The cannons can overturn, to penetrate better water/hyperspace (nobody knows the consistence of hyperspace, if it exists - I assume it follows some fluid dynamics). They shot laser beams, of course.
Pins and other devices are pure aestetic virtuosisms
Other Weapons?
Sure a 4-way Wawe Motion Cannon!
Suggestions are welcome :D
Enjoy!

Just thinking, if it is a space ship the bottom is a giant blindspot for the lasers. If there is more than two ships engaging this one one of the ships just has to distract the lasers while the other fires away at the bottom.

stunning geometry on this one. There is a great flow to the design would like to see the rendered version soon.

Aye, it's a wonderful model! And I LOVED Starblazers, and Alien of course... Good work. Hope to see it rendered in a nice image soon.

So is that FOUR wave-motion guns, or just one?!? (grins) "Who the hell would need FOUR wave-motion guns, anyway?!?"

@LSD I thought it's just a single WMG with 4 exausts. It's stupid to have 4 of them, since one requires the entire ship energy. The capitain will decide to activate one or more exausts, depending on the tactical situation. With a 4-shoot you'll obtain more an energy blade than a beam.

Nice model, especially the weaponry. Very stylish shape.

Free time? If you have free time then you must have learned a new bio-render technique - it has taken me 23 years from my first bio-render to reach the point that the post-render work was done and I had free time again [grin] I do like what you've done with this mysterious free time thing - hope you fine enough free time to keep up the modeling. I recomend doing all the modeling you can - first because I like what you've done and second because you'll find that it helps to have something to help keep life in focus with a little one around. So good luck on both endevours.
