Subject: Help requested from Conservationists and Environmentalists

Attached Link: Slide Show" target="_blank">Slide Show

I have accumulated a few images from the web, mostly from the EPA. I have requested permission for use in an Animated Video presentation as many as four months ago. I have received no answers from my several requests and now I pass the request for help to my fellow Renderosity Mates.

Please view the accumulated images located at my site which Doug is building for me and if you think you can offer some help to me I will give you may email. I am looking for similar photographs as these that I may use with your permission.

Just respond here and I will IM you my address.

I have invested three years of my life, and accumulated tens of thousands of dollars in second mortgages against my home to get my project this far. My Veterans Disability doesn't quite stretch any further to pay for much more. I do not expect to make any money from this presentation, which offers a solution to energy needs through resource reclamation.

The only thing I can promise the artist for their photographic donations is to be listed in the credits trailer of the Video.

For those of you who have seen my first video WIP, the artist who did the music, Mason Williams, appears to be very interested in donating some of his instrumental talents to my cause, we are working out the details for copyright use at this time.

Thank You all for your time and consideration in reading this.

Joe

I think you will get quite a few offers to contribute Joe! as I've seen lots of great polluting images from the members here. I will scour my archives to send you any I might have... what are your requirements? as far as size.. no border, right?

L8RDAZE ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 11:17 AM

Ditto here...I have a bunch of this kind of stuff! Will put it together for ya!

cryptojoe ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 11:55 AM

Yes, please, no borders, or stamps like copyrights.

You needn't change the name of the images, but it will make it easier to credit the artists properly if you will put your name, as you wish it to appear, as a affix.

Similarly:

Tower 132-006

Becomes:

Tower 132-006-Cindy

Gosh! Thank you one and all.

& size?

I will see what I have...don't think I have much but am behind you in your effort nonetheless!

I have huge interest in this project and would love to help in any way I can:} My major limitation is time...When is your deadline?

Kristanene ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 2:20 PM

I don't think I have much right now, but I know I could get some shots of polluted streams, and perhaps coal mines/strip mining and its effects...got a lot of that around here. I'm not sure how much help that is, but I'm certainly willing to contribute.

TwoPynts ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 2:34 PM

So go ahead and IM me your addy Joe, and the file size you want. The largest slide I saw was 640 x 480.

I don't have anything like this in my archives, but I do remember a member whose images were very similar to what I saw in the slide show. I would have to do a search to see if I could find them. I seem to recall the images this person had done were at a Sugar plant possibly in the Florida Everglades. I do have images archived somewhere on destroying the environmentally sensitive lands and habitats here in Florida for development. Not sure if you would be interested in something like that or not. Sorry it's taken so long to get back. Sometimes I forget where I'm at (among friends that is) so here's my address:

cryptojoe@email.sae.org if it bounces let me know, I may have mistyped.

640X is fine, not water marks or such please. It's one thing if they were all the same but they detract in a video if they are not all the same and placed exactly the same.

It doesn't matter where you are, what country etc.

Also, for those who did not catch the video, the heart of the system I am proposing is a Solar Chimney (also called solar tower) so for those of you in Spain, Italy, or Australia where they are employed, if you can get to one it would be great!

CENTER>TIME FRAME:

Is a month too soon? say August 15th???

I'll do what ever it takes, within reason, and what Mr. Williams will allow. He's asking for timeliness on release date, and distribution circles/cycles and whatnot (some of it's over my head but I've never let that stop me before)

Thanx all!

Should be able to get you something by then just fine. Hey, is that a Beatles tie you are wearing on your homepage? ;]

Huh? Oh no! Beetles were like, way gone by then man!

Thats a circa '74 Detroit outfit w/42" Monster Bell's and tailored 3" Cuffs, Platform Soles; cross between "David Bowie's Diamond Dogs" and "Yes - Low Spark of High Heel Boys!" and anything by "Mott the Hoople" Outfit.

Just your average American Choir Boy; Drugs, Sex, & Rock&Roll Rebel without a Cause or Rebel Just Because, but mostly "Rebel without a Clue!"

Oh man! These images makes me so angry! Count me in dear, a 100%!! I already have some pics that will interest u and I'm gonna go out there and take some more!! Yes!! As for the size, isn't 640 too small to have a good quality slide show??

Nilla ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 10:22 PM

Joe! Search in the gallery for the artist name "fblnet" and a series they did called machine clouds! Brenda :)

Nilla ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 10:23 PM

Maybe I will catch a few for you tomorrow now that I know what you are looking for! There are a set of smoke stacks up in Titusville near where the shuttle launches! Brenda :)

UKmac ( ) posted Wed, 13 July 2005 at 12:43 AM

I would like to help, but here in the Scottish Highlands there are no big power plants etc. electricity is via Hydro systems and no Gas. HOWEVER, there is one that really gets me going... That is the logers. They strip a whole hill side of trees and just leave the mess afterwards. BLOT ON THE LANDSCAPE. If this is of any intrest, please IM and I will go a shooting. Surrounded by it. OK, I will stop there or this will be a very long text. Steve

Hmmm, I have only very few shots of trash etc., usually only done by nature itself (avalanches and so), the only one I found you might find useful is http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=958449, the wide upen hole digged in the ground. Jan-Carel
