Excellent work! Nice render too!!. So can you post one without the strand based hair for comparison? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

That looks really, really good. What exactly does that mean, to combine transmapped and strands? I understand what transmapped hair is, but are the strands a separate object? or - ?

I may be in love, can you introduce me [grin] - that is an excellent picture, both the technique, the composition and the model [I realize you didn't make the model, but you did choose and pose it] I am interested in exactly what you did for the hair also, I've been trying to do some work with hair for a while and so I know it isn't easy - if you have ideas that you're willing to share, I'd loive to hear them.

wow very very nice! Is that just stock V3 without any facemorph? Youve made her look lovely! What texture did you use for the natural redhead skin and eyebrow tones? I also second the request for a comparison pic :)

And I'd like to second the request for the facemap texture. It's quite marvelous. Great work, BTW - I thought of combining strands with other hairs a couple of days ago (I'm still getting used to P6) and just haven't had time to play with it. Would appreciate learning more from you quite effective experiment. - Mark

Very well-done image! I like the hair effect a lot. I'd like to learn more about what you did too.

The strands are hair from the hair room.

As far as the skin texture goes, I used an older texture (a little over two years ago), no longer available, called "Amazing Grace" by "ByteMeOk". She was doing photoreal textures when they were just starting to hit the marketplace. Then, because I am totally addicted to Face_off's "Real skin shader" script, I added that. The V3 morphs? I usually grab a head morph from my library and start messing with the dials. However, I am partial to slightly larger eyes.
My goal is to animate so I am not interested in modelling or creating textures....although I love to experiment! I closely follow Neftis and Mec4d animation work and I would love to spend a week with Ynsaen and glean, glean, glean!!! And when I need to laugh my head off, I go over to Bobosaur's sight and watch his animations! Lighting is my weakness so I am studying that while playing with hair.

Excellent work on the hair. I recall a controversy centering around Byteme a few years ago, perhaps involving copyrighted textures, that ended rather acrimoniously.

Thank you for the comparison pic and the render detail information, great, great helpful info for everyone that followed this thread with interest :)

agape, this is one of those "little" tidbits that seems to come alog and raise the bar for Poser realism! I can see this method becoming a standard for Poser renders! mike

To quote Ron Weasley, "Brilliant!" When are you going to post some animations? Maybe a real long-haired heavy-metal head banging scene? BTW, I didn't know anyone actually looked at my 'site.' I've just put up V1.0 of a new one - so new I haven't even linked to it from my artists page (I'm still getting feedback on improvements before I do that). It's got new material (my professional stuff) as well as all the old favorites. I've put a link to it in this post. Before they made me they broke the mold!
