There was a new bridge lighting ceremony on 7-14-05 in South Carolina. The Ravenel Bridge was completed a year ahead of schedule and under budget. It is the largest cable-stayed bridge in the eastern hemisphere. It has eight lanes and a pedestrian lane. The old Cooper river Bridge can be seen in the background and is slated to be destroyed within the week. This image was taken with a 200mm lens, about 42 seconds at f16.
