what is the latest version ie with all upgrades installed. i have a p5 disk which I bought from curious labs but I can't quite seem to get poser 5 working properly. It won't locate geometries in my other runtimes. Love esther PS I'm normally a mac person.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

I find it helps if you create a txt file, rename it to poser.exe and put it alongside each of your seperate runtime folders.

You mean any random text file like just a blank one? Love esther PS so what is the latest version just so I can check i don't need to add any updates. BTW I have a lot of RAM, is there a special thing I need to do because of this?

a blank txt file will do the latest version of Poser 5 is Service Release 4 I believe (but don't quote me on this) that Poser will not use more than 1 GB of RAM

I tried putting a poser.exe next to each runtime and then I restarted the computer just to make sure, then I opened poser 5 but the problem still exists. Have you heard of this happening to other people at all? Love esther

Did you add the other runtimes in P5? Otherwise Poser won't look there if the path to the geometry is incorrect. Also, open one of the files Poser can't find the obj in a text editor (notepad) and search for that obj and post that line, this may help.

Yes, I had poser 4 in poser 5 on my previous computer when I made the files. Love esther { version { number 5 } figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:DAZPeople:blMilWom_v3.obj actor BODY:1 { } actor hip:1 { storageOffset 0 0 0 geomHandlerGeom 13 hip } actor abdomen:1

Previous computer? Then how did get the old runtimes over to your new computer? Did you add the P4 runtime to the new P5 installation again? (See Geep's tutorial at the link.) What's up with your old P5 runtime, did you install anything to it?estherau posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 6:08 PM
oh, my version of P5 is 5.04.332 I had poser 5 on my mac, and i copied the runtimes to the PC then pointed poser 5 at them - they show up too inside poser but when i try add the figures it asks for geometry locations except for P5 stuff love esther
