I know it's possible to change these from the Display menu and, up to P6 at least, I used Cartoon Style for Transmapped hair. One thing I never understood is why some objects can't seem to be changed. A current example is the Millennium Beard. In P6 OpenGL preview, transmapped stuff usually shows up, albiet a little rough and ready, but the beard just disappears and no matter which display style I choose for it, it steadfastly refuses to show up. Other examples include some of Koz's hair, which loads as wireframe and cannot be changed. Any ideas as to why this happens?

Koz's hair is hard programmed in the wire frame style. You have to go into the hr2 or cr2 itself and change it. Using your favorite editing program, do a search for the keyword displayMode WIREFRAME and change WIREFRAME to USEPARENT. Do this for every instance. Be sure to make a back-up in case you screw something up.

I use another hairmakers matload to change it. hmann's screenlegend hair will convert Koz to full preview, for example. Here's Koz in question
