Not that people read these anymore, but I'll share anyway. There is a little known bug in P4/Propack where it can erase some erc from cr2's when saving them back into the library. This only happens if another figure is in the scene. :) Crazy old Poser. hehe Don't save ERC'd cr2's into the library when another figure is in the scene. It erases some erc from the cr2, sometime randomly and sometimes not at all. I have seen it with erc,jcm, etc. Deleteing one first won't help either. Always load and save out from an empty scene.
