I'm going on Tuesday for the expo part only. Thanks Renderosity! For those of us on the west coast, this is the closest Siggraph will be for a while. It's moving to Boston next year. Haloedrain - I think e-on (Vue) is also giving away tickets. Maybe check with them...

unfortunately, this year I had to turn DAZ down for the trip to Siggraph... its just a shame when things like "a job" get in the way of the fun things... wonders off wondering how to do without those silly things like food, clothing, a house, a car.... :) BT

NOOOooooooooo....say it's not so BT....;o( Sigh, yes, rent sucks. As a kid, summer vacation lasted a loooong time...now each 30 days go by every time I turn my head! YES, Siggraph, I'll be there with camera in hand, taking EVEN more pics than last year. ;o) If anyone is gonna be at Siggraph and wants to try and shake hands, e-mail me for my cell number. You'll at least see pics of yourself here, lol. *I'll be attending all 5 days of Siggraph. AgentSmith

I'll be there Sunday! It would be great if I could meet someone from Renderosity there. I'm bringing my camera and copious amounts of film. Send me an IM if you're going to be there on Sunday!!! I haven't changed much from the pic on my artist page. ;)

I would have loved to go this year as well, but like BT, my real job got in the way (well, actually, I just don't have enough vacation days saved up after my hospital stay) but I'll be at DragonCon for DAZ in September, so there are compensations.

Well, all I can say is WOW! There are some really cool things to see at Siggraph. My arms are killing me from hauling all the freebies and info packs! Lucky I waited until the end of the day to buy the books from Turbo Squids booth - they must have weighed 5 pounds each! I made one pass through all the rows and then hung out mostly between Vue/E-On, Maxon/Cinema 4D, e-frontier/Poser, and the DAZ/Evoia booths. It will take me a week to see what I grabbed! It was really fun to finally meet some of you! Wish I had a longer time there, but work only let me have one day off to play...

Renderosity Convention? Is that where we get to beat-up those guys who think Bryce is for amatures? ;-)
