They seem to be doing a freebie again. I guess by the statement on their page, this is a re-post. The ladybug and the leaf. The ladybug is a very low poly mesh but in a scene where you don't need a close up it is fine. The leaf including stem is good to have in your arsonel of plant material. Also the leaf tex is a good one. Anyway here are two renderings , one in Poser 4 and one in Bryce 4. Together done in about 10 minutes. Just thought I'd share. I know I almost forgot that they even had a site. Hehehe. James

James, I needed something like this. Thank you very much for posting and keeping us updated :) Do you have the URL?

The sleeping giant has not stirred for a LONG, LONG time. I remember wanting that Fantasy & Myth CD about 2 years ago!

Remember, Dedicated Digital is only ONE guy! I'm not even sure if this is his full-time gig! -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Glad to help soulsong. Even in this little way. I Didn't know that smallspace. You learn something new everyday :) Maybe now he might answer my e-mails? I'm still looking for a high res Owl. Yes I know about The owls on on of the other sites listed here, but they're just not the quality I am looking for. DD has one ob their Animal CD, but I need to see it and determine if it is the quality I need. So I also was hoping that finally DD would have a image preview page of their products. Maybe he might read this and do so. I can always hope. James

The owl is not really posable the wings don't move, I would only use it in the background on a tree or barn. This one is off the Animal Kingdom CD from Dedicated Digital. Marque

Oops...forgot the picture. This is the owl from the CD rendered in Poser. Marque

The main reason I got the CD was for the manatees. If it's only one guy, he must have his wife answer the phone to take the phone orders. She sounds pretty professional. Marque

Thanks very much Marque. Tis is a least better quality than the ones I've seen, but still looks like something very lo-res, and not the hi-quality I was looking for. Maybe with a re-map and better textures....it seems that all the owls around are just massing models with a texture put on to try to cover up that they are only VRML quality. Does it even have a beak? Could you post a top and side view? It wuld be aprecieated. But I guess it looks like I'll have to try to build one on my own. James

If you build one I would like a copy of it. 8^) Marque

Thanks Marque! As I suspected. Not too much detail at all. Bummer. I guess it's time to break out the modeling programs. Organics ...shudder.... I'll have to give it a try. James

I would buy a good owl. Vista has some very nice animals, but I am not very keen on ordering everything on custom-burned CDs. Being in Europe, the shipping for each one is as much as the model. I realize this is not really pertinent, but I had to vent my frustration. :))
