Boy, I wish Vue could do this! Pictures from a series of thunder storms that rolled through my area yesterday. -SMT

Yeah would be nice, but they can look really good on a plane to.

The second to the last is really amazing. Vue cannot do that... I would even add 'yet' as it is one of the most needed features. Just be patient :)

Totally agree - am waiting for this (impatiently ;-) ) ever since I first put my hands on Vue...

Using alpha planes, Vue can do a pretty decent job, as Ms Outlaw mentioned. Just check the work of Kenwas in the gallery. You have to mess around with lighting and such, but it certainly is a workaround for now. By the way, those are awesome pics. You should give it a try. I'd love to see the results. - Lin

Fantastic shots! You should've tried making a pano while you could, and use HDRShop to make it an HDR file, then you could've used it in Vue as an environnemnt map. Would've been great! Thanks for the great pics!

You must live pretty close to me, I saw clouds like those just the other day. The 4th one in particular... when I saw the colours (dark grey over pinkish orange over white, with a blue sky) I wished I had a camera on me. Now I can sample colours from your pics to get that pallette :D EDIT On the other hand, seeing as you have a store called Dollar Tree I doubt we're on the same continent :D (UK)

Alphas work acceptably well for backgrounds, but not for more sophisticated wishes like reflections.

DMM: Nope, not in the UK. The pictures were taken in Yreka, California, USA, and Ashland, Oregon, USA. The two cities are about 30 miles apart, and I got chased out of Yreka when the power was lost due to the main transformer being hit by lightning. Happens a lot. (23 times last year!) -SMT
