I quite like Poser 6! I've worked thru P4/PP, then P5 and took the plunge. Just did a minimum install and have James and his bits n pieces installed as well as linked my P5 runtime. Gotta say, James is quite human for a Poser guy! Just a little niggle tho. Love the Koz hair for him but don't seem to have transmap for the ponytail. Does this mean I have to install all content. Also is it absolutely necessary to get the content updater? Other than that, I'm enjoying tweaking the interface to my liking and finding out what I can do.
My aspiration: to make a decent Poser Render I'm an Oldie, a goldie, but not a miracle worker :-)

I think that the content updater has stuff like the transmap for the ponytail with it, but I am not sure, I dont have poser 6. It probably would be better to get the content updater, they wouldn
t just make that for no reason.

thanx Xantor - just wondered as I had seen posts which inferred that some people had problems after installing the Content Updater. The hair thing isn't crucial though. I find the new Poser quite intuitive to use and am getting used to it - I'm something of a technophile despite my advancing age ;-)

No confession necessary. I love P6 and it's a damn sight more stable at this time than P5 was at a similar point. I certainly don't regret buying it and I'd urge any P5 owners to upgrade.

I too am a lot happier with P6, going to be getting rid of 5 but will probably keep propack for smaller projects. Marque

Thanx guys. I installed content updater which solved the hair problem with James. Also, out of curiosity installed the full content of P6 - sorry but Jessie is, as we say in my neck of the woods "Well weird". Those eyes! I use P3do to edit and sort my runtime stuff so I reckon Jessie and the additional stuff will go, go, go.

I still use propack for figure making etc. It loads faster and works faster on my computer so it is the best one for stuff like that. Jessi is quite ugly "out of the box" but some people have used morphs and textures to make the figure look much better, so you might want to keep her for a while.
