Hi folks, i'm trying to get a character to cast shadows across a plain white background in Poser 5. Sadly, no floor shadows show up after rendering. Does anyone know how to accomplish this, or perhaps know of another way to create a pure white background? Thanks.

If you want shadows on the ground, you have to make the ground visible. It's invisible by default. Click on the properties tab, and make sure "visible" is checked.

No shadows will appear if there is no object to cast the shadows on, you could use the single sided square scaled to the full size of your scene as a background that will receive shadows.

Thanks, that solved everything!

Ok, I lied. Now I can't get the visible ground or single sided square prop to stay white as I begin adding lights. Any suggestions?

Don`t add too many lights, the lights might be coloured you can change them to white or grey.

Poser lights are a law unto themselves. They always appear as Spotlights, always in an arc somewhere around the left of the workspace and always a random colour.

Ok, I got it. I created 2 infinite white lights and angled them in the same direction. Now the floor stays white. thanks for the tips everyone.
