Is the 15th frame identical to the first? If it is, you can get a "jerk" in the animation, because it's essentially showing frame 1 twice in a row (at frame 15 and again at 16)

Thanks for the reply. The 15th frame might be the same as the 1st - I have Loop Interpolation turned on. I was under the impression that makes the last frame lead into the first - but does it actually make both frames the same?

Try making the animation one less frame that should fix it. It isnt caused by loop interpolation being on, it is just something that happens when making walk cycles, it isn
t really a bug either.

Try making the animation one less frame that should fix it. Do you mean use the Retime Animation function?

Save a range of frames, excluding the last frame.

why dont you set the walk cycle to repeat twice and just use the first walk cycle? this sometimes helps or copy the first frame to the 16th frame and adjust the 15th so that runs smoother to the 16th, then delete the 16th...
Getting old and still making "art" without soiling myself, now that's success.

Dont use the retime function just make the animation one less frame by typing the number into the animation frames part.
