Over the last eight weeks I have been running Poser 6 SR1 on two high end PC's. Both machines have developed very strange behaviors and have developed similar problems. The mouse becomes difficult to use and starts to drag, it is painful trying to move Poser parameter dials and becomes so slow that the software stops working - these PC's have 3.4MHz processors. Both machines eventually freeze and wont do anything and cannot be used for at least twentyfour hours after switching off which is also strange.
Both machines been checked with the latest Norton AntiVirus for virus's, worms etc and they have both been scanned for mallicious software and spyware and are clean. The operating systems have been reinstalled but the problem returns. Because Poser six makes use of Graphic card acceleration and works differently from Poser 5 I am asking if anyone else is experiencing similar problems or has had anything like this and can offer advice and help. I am not saying that I am convinced that Poser 6 is directly responsible for this but it is the only software that I use where the problem starts to occur, it does not happen with any other software that I am using.
My hard drives have been checked and are working fine. The computer hardware appears to be in good working order.
