Lagonda Cars made in Staines, England. 1898 - 1945. The company didn't receive a steel allocation after WW2 and was forced to merge with Aston Martin to survive. The Staines plant closed, production of Aston Martin Lagondas was done, as it is now, at the Newport Pagnell works.

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.
