I'm trying to drape a flag over a bar. The flag is a cloth plane which I've made a material for. Anyway, I have managed to drape it just fine and it looks ok. But it looks a little too organized for my tastes. I think it would look much better if there was some folding, creasing, etc. Is there something I can do in the dynamics controls to introduce some of this? I thought about pre-bending the cloth plane, exporting it as an object, then re-draping it so that there is some extra movement in the cloth, but that seems like the long way around the problem (plus very unpredictable). Any thoughts?

You can assign some of the vertices to "Choreographed" groups.
Another alternative is to put a wind force in the animation, to make the flag look like it's blowing. If you vary the amplitude of the wind force it can simulate gusts of wind.

A simple thing to try would be magnets or wave deformers.

you could do it in postwork easily enough with gradients set to multiply in your layers pallette (ps, psp)
