Hello everyone... Since CL lattest SR release, the problems that had plagued poser 5 have gone the black hole way, or at least most of them... Upon the realese of poser 6 the same thing happened. Problems...a certain utterly annoying memory problem problems with instalation...etc. Now that SR 1 for poser 6 is out how is it behaving? Should I move from 5 with the lattest realese to 6 with SR 1? Opinions please...

Poser 6 has been great for me since SR1.

So far I've had no problems at all with P6 either before or after SR1.

I did have a number of problems with Poser 6 (mostly memory & rendering related), but all of those have gone since SR1. I hardly ever did something serious when it comes to rendering with Poser 5. I always poses in P5 and exported the scenes to Vue 4 and later Vue 5. Since the release of Poser 6, it has become a pretty serious rendering engine too with all of the additions. Also all of the improvements make it far more pleasant to use then P5 ever was. I'm not rendering in Vue 5 anymore, I can do all I want with Poser 6 now. With some additional content like the full version of MicroCosm 2.0, some tree & plant packs and Terraformers, Poser 6 works even well when it comes to creating landscapes. No need for me to use Vue 5 anymore, Poser 6 is much faster and much more reliable then Vue is. I'm very content with Poser 6, it almost has become my one stop solution. If they would only add a modeling room to Poser 7, it would really be a one stop solution for me.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

No problems with P6 since SR1 except for one image which just would not render. It rendered in P5 just fine but I have no idea what the problem was. Other than that, P6 has been totally sweet.

I've kept P5 around for dynamic clothes that are going to be imported into Vue - P6 SR1 dynamic clothes don't import. e-on is supposed to be working on a fix, but it seems to take a lot of time. For all other things I use P6 SR1. Great improvements in (especially) lighting. Quite stable. The only Poser version I ever used that could render 8 Millenium 3 figures with hair, all having different hires textures.
