Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 27 7:24 am)
Make sure the hair is parented to a figure if you want to apply textures with a MAT file.
And check your diffuse values. Sometimes it comes in set to zero, so no matter what texture you attach, you don't see it. The diffuse value should be 1.
I've also had trouble with some hair from DAZ coming in with a gray or brown diffuse color, which makes every texture look the same muddy brown. Change the diffuse color to white, and it's fine.
The Sapphire Fox hair universal prop hair does this to me in Poser 6. For some reason, the node with the image map has the texture strength set as 0.00. Turn your texture to 1.00 and you should be good to go. If it's not that, I'm stumped too ;o). BTW, I have no idea why P6 does this. Just a small, albeit slightly irritating bug ;o). Laurie
