Works fine here as well (australia). It even did a few days ago in the eyelash transparency thread where you said it was down, so I thought they'd fixed the problem.

Well, have spoken to a buddy of mine whos a good at these things, and he suggested a DNS-error. ...and he was right...again! He just gave me a few DNS numbers, and it works fine now. + The really screwed thing was that when i visited places like threedy.com, the images ive posted there were showing up as red Xs. + Thanx a lot everyone for helping out here! :)

Try blending them, tinted images from one with header/footer from the other, just a suggestion as to me they feel a bit too mono - love the layout though!

Incarnadine's idea sounds excellent to me. I'd use the first one (as everybody suggest) for the background and the yellowish navigation-banner and the footer-banner from the second image. Or vice versa. :-) although, that part above the navigation is not clear to me. It's absolutely not ecessary. I'd put the "rochr.com" logo over the background image for the index page and then it would disappear when people view the images. You already have one in the navigation bar.

Youre not making it easier you know... ;) I actually like the idea with blending the styles, but without the second rochr.com in the background though. :) Ill probably place a meta frame on top of the background, where galleries and stuff will open up, and have text on the left side...i think. The part above the navigation (its two images), is actually sort of the welcoming screen, before you enter the main page. Ive thought about making a swedish version as well, and you could choose language on this first screen. Its still just a thought though. Most swedes should be able to understand english by now. :)

Erlik posted Fri, 19 August 2005 at 1:05 PM
Well, yeah, what I said about having two logos is as valid for the index page, too. :-) I, personally, don't like welcoming screens. It's usually just another click added without any particular value. Also, you could do the page without any frames, either with includes or simply join the navigation into the pages. That is, if you're not going to change the contents of the upper frame from page to page, or if you're not going to change it every two weeks, there's no need either for frames or for includes. If you just join it to the rest of the pages, once it's loaded for the first page, it will be instant for the other pages. But there's a quote against frames with my name under it floating around the Internet. :-)

You can do as others have done by using the two countries flags, then the veiwer can choose which language from there......just a thought and it saves space.

Rochr posted Fri, 19 August 2005 at 3:17 PM
Good points, both of you. The upper and under frames are going to be the same through the entire page. Only the space between will change for each page. Im still not exactly sure if im going to divide the gallery into cathegories, 3D/2D or just leave it as it is. I want to be able to update the stuff easily though, so perhaps the best thing would be to have them as they are now, and just add new stuff in the wip-spaces. And naturally, there will be a few hundred popups opening with every click of a button. :)
