My Chow Chow pup needs fur. Especially the tail. It's supposed to be all bushy. I wish they would understand how much we need a Fur plug-in for Poser. ScottA

Actually, as you probably know, its already built into Poser but never fully and officially implimented. You can type HAIR and play with that, but obviously, with some tweaking and refinement Poser should actually be able to do hair as nearly as good as Shave and a Haircut or Sasquatch... Either Poser 5 could fully impliment it, or allow for OFFICIAL Poser 5 Plug-ins, which could be either DLL's and/or Python scripts. There is also no reason why Poser couldn't support "L-Systems" like Animatek World Builder, with trees, grass, etc. as a Poser 5 Plug-In...

I can't get enough fluff from a bump map. And the Hair easter egg isn't developed enough to use it properly. ScottA

Try making another layer, similar to a blanket over the figure covering the areas where the hair would be, and transmap it like the people hair.

Poser++ (in the webring to the right) has a free download app called "Fur Fur" that builds on the easter egg. If you want to see what it can do, go to the "System" page at that site and check out the tutorial, in which easter egg hair is converted and transmapped.

Digimation now has a demo of Shag: Hair for 3D Studio Max. Only limitation is you can't save.
