As usual some great work there :) Glad to see some people are spending time doing something valuable with Vue instead of just bitching about it.

Nice work :) I'm still jealous of your camera moves ;)

lanaloe77 posted Mon, 22 August 2005 at 5:57 PM

agiel you had a nice comment but then ruined it by complaining about people that complain. How ironic and immature.

XLT work Phoul as usual :) To Agiel - o.O...not all of us do animation or for that matter are as gifted as Phoul. Sorry to disappoint :(, that we all can't be as successful in our endevours. I'll retreat now & just lurk. Very nice :(

Very immature for a mod of the vue forum to be critizing others who have a right to complain. Would never thought agiel would said what he said. I agee that phoul's work is first class and one of a kind. I admire him for what he has been able to do with Vue.

My apologies to everyone, and especially to Philippe for hijacking his tread like that... that was out of line. I guess I was just frustrated after spending the last weeks reviewing complaint after complaint about Vue.

I'll retreat as well...

Excellent as always Philippe! Your movies are the reason I bought Vue.

Unbelievable Phillipe - simply wonderful animations. It gives us all hope about the great things that Vue can do. Thanks for sharing

Phillipe, I sent your site in answer to annimation request last week. The E-on show is nice but I see no way to look at all the other bits you made now. Or am I just stupid?

Really liked the new drafts.

Out of curiosity are the planetary rings done with an EcoSystem or lots of scattered objects?

Phoul, Can you give me any advice on rendering those plants in Vue without artifacts. I am in production on a tv project that I bought vueInfinite for. It requires lots of outdoor scenes. My moving plant renders alias from artifacts so badly I am looking for other software. I have Adobe After Effects also. cheerio lululee

Phoul, your work puts all the complainers (myself being one included) in real perspective, this is more proof of what can be done with vue and real skill. All of the technical issues aside, vue's still a powerful tool, and you prove that.

Hello,
Thank you for the nice comments.

-About my old animations: I confirm they were been deleted from my website.
-About the planetary rings: it was done with rocks on ecosystem (there is a thread in that forum where I explained the wip).
-About rendering quality: each animated scenes need its special setup based on ultra (almost always with more Texture AA).

Philippe:

As always, very nice. As a long-time fan of your work (both cinema and digital) I really want to see your old stuff again (Mech demo, APC demo, "zombie" short, etc.) I miss the inspiration I got from the old the animations as well. What happened to those? Any chance we will see those again, any chance they will make it back up on your site? I also miss your tutorials and noticed they're gone as well.

Speaking of tutorials, as I have mentioned in the past, I think if you created a tutorial DVD (especially on animation and camera movement) it would be a smashing success! What do you think? Maybe a DVD release of all your Vue animations too. ;)

Cheers,
Tim
