Hey all! Some simple prop freebies for you today. Blacksmith3D is starting up a Nature Collection of objects for use in your 3D scenes, and we will be continually releasing new volumes featuring a different sort of object. This is Volume One, and consists of 10 rock objects with their textures. These rocks were all created and painted in Blacksmith3D, by deforming a primitive sphere in different ways. Simple! :) We will soon be adding more volumes to this collection. ________________________________________________ Matt 3D Graphics Consultant for Blacksmith3D [![Matt_Banner.jpg](http://www.blacksmith3d.com/images/Matt_Banner.jpg) Blacksmith3D-Morph-Lite 2.0 is now available and on sale for $49.95 (limited time only)](http://www.blacksmith3d.com)

Those textures on the rocks are gorgeous Matt. I have to figure out how to use 2.0!

Thanks, they look great.

Got a question, though. The file unzips to a single folder. Where are the files supposed to go? Will it be okay if I just put the OBJ in the root geometries file, the textures in the root textures file, etc.?

Since they are generic OBJ files, you can place them anywhere you wish. Poser should find them if they are in the same folder as the OBJ file when you initially import them. ________________________________________________ Dave The Big Cheese at Blacksmith3D Dave_Banner.jpg Blacksmith3D-Morph-Lite 2.0 is now available and on sale for $49.95 (Sale ends August 31, 2005)

Okay, gotcha. I didn't even notice they weren't prop files. :)

are they all the same sphere base? If so why not release them as a morphing prop?

For now, we decided to keep them generic OBJ files so that can be used in a variety of programs. Also, each texture is painted to match each rock specifically, to avoid texture stretching. Although, anyone could easily import one rock as the base and then import the rest as morph targets for it. ________________________________________________ Dave The Big Cheese at Blacksmith3D Dave_Banner.jpg Blacksmith3D-Morph-Lite 2.0 is now available and on sale for $49.95 (Sale ends August 31, 2005)
