I am creating a set for my project and it requires a fairly large underground complex. I want to see exposed rocks since the people inhabiting the caves are rebel-military types in hiding.I have Davorama's sci-fi construction set as well as Redhouse Studios Olympus Mon as construction peices. But what would you suggest as a technique to create rock walls? I will be using vue when the software arrives, but I'm creating the set in poser for import.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

RuntimeDNA has an underground tunnel construction set. It's called "Passages."

You could create the rock wals in Vue using a terrain on it's side. Use 2, one for each side.

Check the P5/P6 freebies at RDNA -- there's a whole range of materials including various sorts of stone. Displacement maps will do a lot to turn a smooth tube into something a bit uneven, and even the Tile shader, with mortar width set to zero and a bit of tweaking of the settings, can give an irregular pattern which still has the feel of being hacked out of rock by machinery.
