At the time, I had Poser 4, but I remember reading a Poser 5 book at the book store and there was a section on enlarging hands. If I remember correctly, there is a word that is changed in the CR2 file and when you enlarge the hand, the finger sections will enlarge proportionally. Does anyone have any info on this or another way to enlarge the hands on the Millenium figures?

You need to change the hand's "scale" channels to "propagatingScale" (that is: scale, scaleX, scaleY, scaleZ -> propagatingScale, propagatingScaleX, propagatingScaleY, propagatingScaleZ). propagatingScale, most often seen on actor BODY, causes scaling on the body part with these channels to 'propagate' to its children.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.

Download Furraldo from Free Stuff, if you need an example. I use propagatingScale on his hands, head, and tail.

Thanks Anthony. Are there any problems when you scale them - ie does the wrist joint look or pose funny or anything? Love esther

I don't know.

Yep. On some figures it isn;t too bad. On others it's horrible. I usually create a smoothing morph, and then create a erc relationship to activate the morph along with the scaling as well. Best case, I didn;t have t odo a thing. Worst case, I created over 45 morphs trying to smooth the transition, and that took about 5 hours of trial and error.
Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Eeek, no I don't think I'll try it. I'm not that clever. I just feel freak's hands and feet are a little too big, whereas the muscular morphs on David and M3 look funny because they have such cute little wrists and hands and ankles and feet. Love esther

Yeah for freak you do need morph adjustments. I attempted adding scaling to his hands myself already.

I just don't understand why daz doesn't make a muscular character with slightly less freakish proportions. Love esther

The thing to do if you are editing the .cr2 is search for "actor rhand" then search for "scale scale", change the latter to "propagatingScale scale", then search for actor "rfoot" or "actor lhand" and repeat, etc. You can adjust the wrist ankles with taper but it is better to use a magnet with the zone center write at the end of the wrist or shin and use the zone size to controll how far up the adjustment goes, the further being the smoother. I got this all from pitklad :) Thanks. I use EditPad Lite on my PC since it can open and manipulate 4oMb .cr2 without a shudder. I have also done this propagatingScale on the neck to make "bobble" big heads but it isn't perfect without post-work.

Does this work for Jessi? She's got such huge hands. Miki's are kind of big, too.
