Attached Link: UTC Poll
Hi all, We've got an exciting concept that we're thinking of doing with the UTC range of products, so we'd like to establish just how many people have the main package, and how many would like to still get it. Please take the time to vote in this poll: http://www.3duniverse.co.za/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=232&PN=1&TPN=1 (You don't need site membership to vote, the poll is conpletely anonymous) Thanks, SteveTashar59 posted Sat, 27 August 2005 at 5:10 AM
What is the concept? Would like to know why I should vote.

What is the concept? Would like to know why I should vote. If you don't want to vote, don't... There are no tricks involved, we'd just like to get an idea of how many people are active users of UTC. cheers, Steve

Guess I can't vote, go there says hi Marque, then tells me I can logout but can't vote unless I register and then tells me I'm not registered under that name and email when I try to get my password so I can log out to log back in. Yes, I own it, no I'm not going to jump through hoops to re-register to get on your site to tell you I do. Marque

I did vote, one of the more useful purchaces I've made. Still would like to know What this "exciting concept" is. Didn't think it such a bad question. Guess I was wrong.
Marque posted Sat, 27 August 2005 at 8:40 AM
Actually I agree. If you're going to create something to sell you will see how many folks use it by the sales you generate. Why not just tell us what the concept is? Getting tired of jumping through hoops for vendors to take my money. Marque

I'm registered, but was able to cast my vote as a guest. Lately i've been converting V3 textures to V2. UTC was the best purchase I ever made! Though I wish it had 'lips' as one of the options...

I am registered and I had no problems with voting.

Thanks for the heads-up. UTC is one of those must-have utilities for someone who wants to use a wide range of Poser products, like Wardrobe Wizard. Looking forward to seeing what the exciting concept is.

I voted, no I don't have it, planning on buying so I'm really interested in this concept. Especially if it's going to save me money :) Since I wasn't one of the early adopters getting everything now with all the modules is really quite an amount. Is that bound to change?
Marque posted Sat, 27 August 2005 at 10:25 AM
It is worth the money and yes I use it. Got it when it first came out. Never said it was a bad product, just that I dislike going to another site to vote on something to find out something about something we are going to be asked to buy. Or is it free? Marque

I voted without any problem as a guest, I don't have it yet but intend to buy it soon

I do have it but sure would like to see some expansion to say the poser 4 and 6 figures. Also if you could add overlay support that would be amazingly cool ... that is to say enable it to import and apply all those lovely overlays from RDNA. (and from there its a small step to secondskin clothing support isnt it) and while I'm at it .. poser4 horse to milhorse? grins Lyrra

oh mill characters to P6 characters would be awesome :)

cedarwolf posted Sun, 28 August 2005 at 9:53 AM
Yep, got the base, and the V3 addon, saving up for the M3 addon...wish it had a way to generate a pic to go with the new textures and replace the lovely "UTC" image.
Phantast posted Sun, 28 August 2005 at 10:52 AM
You can already convert overlays/second skins - I don't see the problem. I've done this myself.
Phantast posted Sun, 28 August 2005 at 10:55 AM
Incidentally, this is a pretty meaningless poll. Those who don't have it are mostly hardly going to bother voting because they don't care. Those who do have it you can work out from how many units you have sold. So you might just as well ask how many people intend getting it. But that is restricted to the number of people who read the forums.

I hope the exciting concept is extending UTC to support some of the other non-DAZ figures that are out there...

Yes, I (voted) have the UTC main module and all the plug-ins for the male Millenium figures (e.g. M2, M3, FREAK & David). And I would be interested in a plug-in that converts Millenium (unimesh) textures to Anton's Apollo Maximus figure (voted for that as well). Cheers! :-D

Casette posted Tue, 30 August 2005 at 12:59 PM
Yes... I remember that some years ago Steve spoke about a project of an UTCs plug for Sara ... then happened the Sara1-Sara2 mess, the arrival of TheGirl and Sara was officially ignored (not un-oficially, due people as SaraFanGroup, Digital Hippies, 3D Sara Creations...) but... I dream on using my V3 textures with her...

I voted. I vote everytime one of these UTC polls comes up. Nothing changes. UTC now to me stands for Unimesh Texture Converter, not Universal. Other plugins become available I would invest, I have all the other stuff. ApolloMax, Poser figures (posette, dork, judy, Jessi, James), etc etc. PhilC's Wardrobe Wizard supports a huge ammount of figures. FREE the Textures!!!! waves banner FREE the textures!!!

A sara plugin and a poser 4 figures plugin would be great.
