ok i have a digital camera... it's a sony Cyber-shot with a 6x zoom... i was just wondering if anybody knows why it takes b/w picture with far more detail than it does in color...do you think it might be my settings?

It may be using more sensors in B&W mode.-It takes 3 sensors to define a color in COLOR mode. It may be using those extra sensors to add detail.

I agree with Kurka. Digital cameras often take much higher quality images in Black and white but with almost 2 million pixels you should still get a good color image.
