Message from my wife and myself: Well, there's some bad news since you last heard from us. They realized yesterday that Zane's been having seizures so they put him on...umm...you guys know it....feno something. That's stopped them, but he will have to be on it indefinately. They did and EEG and they're doing an MRI early this week, so those things will help us figure out what this is. The genetics test should be back wed or thurs. Jason and I searched the internet yesterday and we found something called Aarskog Syndrome that has a lot of his symptoms. We are hoping that's what it is...because it's pretty mild compared to the other stuff it still could be. If you guys find any other information on it...please feel free to send it to me. I couldn't find that much about it. Just the symptoms..etc. It did say that it's most common in males and it causes reduced fertility..not INfertility...just reduced....so that's good. If you guys can find some stuff about it...that would be great. But...that might not even be it. We're just hoping it is. We'll ask the doctor about it soon. Please keep praying for him. Really hope it'll be ok for your baby, it'll be something that don't last, frightening like a storm but once away a beautiful blue sky. I really hope very strong (would love to be able to do more, believe me but maybe a lot of hope can do something :) J-L

Dear V, Let me first express my concern and hope for Zane. Hope is the operative word here. My two youngest daughters were both premature. The baby..lol...17, now, was kept in the hospital for almost 3 months, and put on phenobarbital too. She would have spasms, but no one ever figured out why she had them. The nurses seemed to notice that she would cry and cry and then spasm. They finally sent her home...She has been fine, ever since. My heart goes out to you. It is soooo hard waiting for a baby and then going through the anxiety of having him endure a long gruelling hospital stay. Hospitals do tend to err on the side of being safe. You little one may grow out of it too. (They said they thought in my daughter's case it was induced by frustration.)
