Subject: waters edge?

probably been asked before But i haven't had much time latly so i haven't seen it anyway... question.. on this image I'd like to have the edge where the water meet the sand I'd like it to look more natural. little waves or something... anyone got an Idea or a tutorial on how to do this? thanks

i was actually thinking about this just now. i only got my greedy hands on vue 5 today though so i can't really help you much.

if this was lightwave, i'd tell you that it's possible to use a gradient layer so that the lower areas of the terrain fade into the water texture with a foamy kind of look, but i don't know if vue's material editor works like that. edit i'm nothing resembling a lightwave master by the way, so if what i just said is not terribly accurate don't fry my ass over it :p

How about looking here into the backroom (link in the header)- There under "Archtips" and "water". I think you find what you need there.
