VanishingPoint uploaded a very nice autopsy table to this site a couple of weeks ago, and I decided to produce a set of mad scientist's autopsy instruments to go with it.

I was about to upload these tonight when it struck me that in view of the terrible disaster in the US last week, it might give offence to do that right now. Am I being oversensitive here? I don't want to upset anyone, so I'd be grateful for comments - upload or not?

Thank you for raising such a sensible issue and being so sensitive to the feelings of others. I've read about the issues of morality in art and particulary documentary photography. But hadn't thought to equate this in regard to our creations, freebies and products in the medium (3d) we use. But I think it's reasonable to say the same considerations apply. Also what you are providing is "source material". In the same way that Windsor & Newton can't dictate about what people do with their inks, paints or brushes. It's the artist and audidence who have to consider what is insensitive or unaccepatble. Look at Marc Quinn's statue of Alison Lapper which is planned for Trafalger Square in London. Some have said this work shouldn't be there, yet I feel it's much suitable because of it's classical style than the other selected entry by (Hotel for the Birds) by Thomas Schte. This looks like a bundle of cheap coat hangers! The only exception I would make to this, is if your freebie was deliberatly designed to cause offence. Then you shouldn't post it. Speaking personally, I say what your suggesting is accepatable in a wide range of scenarios, which makes it valid, so go ahead and post it.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
