Goll dang it.

Never expected this.

My P6 installation was working fine. Today I downloaded SR1 patch and content SR1.

Installation went fine.

Now Poser crashes on launch. Gets to the first white screen and then the Microsoft "Had to unexpectedly quit" alert comes up.

Tried rebooting. Nope.

Before I start completely from scratch and reinstall, any suggestions or threads that could give me some ideas?

Sorry to hear about your SR1 debacle -->"A sudden, disastrous collapse, downfall, or defeat; a rout. A total, often ludicrous failure. " Par for the course "Normally" with a CL update (P5 anyone?) but strange this time around as I don't remember reading many P6/SR1 update problem threads. I've experienced absolutely no trouble at all after installing both the SR1 patch and content updater. Very, very strange... sadly I can off nothing except that it's good to have you back in the Forum!!! Hope all is well with you and that you won't be a stranger hereabouts! Welcome back Opera!! G p.s. if anyone was wondering (very doubtful)why I've been so inactive here in the forum of late, it's because the darned phone company here (Telus) is on strike and my ADSL has yet to be hooked up (moved this summer) and I'm on dial-up in the mean time and it sux!!!! I'll be very surprised if this post actually makes it!!!!!

Hi ghelmer! Yes, I am back, after insane all-in 6-month database project, I am back on the prowl. I solved my crash, or rather I un-problemed it. Since I always make a ghost copy of any clean install, I just went back to that folder, then installed SP1 over it....it worked. ::::: Opera :::::

Glad you solved it!!! And allow me to apologize in advance for this but it's been a LONG time coming... p.s. Judy is still harsh fugly!!!!!!! LOL!! Sorry Opera... with you gone I haven't made a single crack about Judy in all this time!! LOL!! Please remember that all my Judy cracks were almost always in fun... Actually Jessi is kind of fugly too but I being the Unimesh fanboy that I am can't help it!! G
