Using UVmapper, you can map different textures to various parts of an .obj model. This much I know. However, what if you wanted part of that model to be coloured glass or chrome. Can you somehow map a reflective chrome or aluminum effect onto a particular side using UVmapper?

I supposes..though I'm hardly the expert..;) there is a UVMapping forum here, so give them a shot..they're the experts..

I am enclosing a screen shot that shows how to assign a reflection map to a material in Bryce this works on both uv and non uv mapped objects because it is done in the material editor. Here I have a assigned a cloud picture as a reflection map after clicking in the reflection slot. Please note this does not seem to work very well as it makes the darker areas of the image less reflective than the lighter areas of the image.

Well if you have seperate areas set up by using colors etc. You can then apply differnet materials to each even if it is UV mapped. That is what I do so I can have parts with procedurals and parts with painted some with painted with decals. You can eve change the type of mapping for those parts from Parametric to whatever.
