Hi all, I'm trying to find a crossbow, any era. (preferably free) There's one here, but it is in Truespace format and I need P6 Any ideas? Thanks

There are several paying crossbows around. The only free thing closest to a crossbow is Dodger's Bowcaster (Star Wars style). You can find it in the free section of Vanishing Point (see link).

OK, not unusual, so I proceed, and the first thing im required to do is provide my full date of birth to even be allowed to the registration pages. That seems a bit invasive and I dont understand it, but I go ahead and go forward and the next step of the reg process is setting up my public profile. There is again an age section, saying "IF you provide your birthdate everyone will see it" and "year of birth is optional" so I blanked out those fields, and now it refuses to let me register unless I provide this personal information as publicly available. This is not comforting in this day and age of rampant identity theft. Whats with this site???

I was thinking I had registered with that site but I don't have any login info in my records. I agree with you that making personal info like that mandatory to be displayed publicaly is not a very good idea.

So it wasnt my specific browser, or local tacheon rays, it really is the site not letting anyone register without the sensitive info provided. Drat. So. Anyone that has already laid all thier cards out on the table for that site care to check the battering ram and crossbow readmes to see if they allow redistribution? Id love to have em, but I dont feel like letting the site manipulate me into providing info I dont wanna give. Im just funny that way ;) If redistro is cool, anyone with time to send the item(s) please IM me! Thanks, Logan
