I owned Poser 4 for some time, upgraded to Poser Pro Pack, then obtained Daz Studio. Why I decided to obtain Poser 6, I am not sure, maybe I am just a conehead type of consumer, and should have my head examined.
I do have to say that once I started to get used to D.S., I thoroughly enjoy the interface (as opposed to the P4 one) and although there were a very few, minor irritations at first, overall, I still enjoy D.S. a great deal.
I have only just begun to monkey around with Poser 6; is it just me, or are the old points of irritation with Poser (at least for me anyway) worth battling with(they seem to have expanded to new levels in P6)?
I realize that there is obviously some amount of orange to apple comparison here; in light of P6 shade/texture mapping, rendering concoctions, new "rooms" etc. Just a note: being new to P6, does anyone actually use that hair room - I like the way it seems to work; if it is worth the eyebags of eventual comprehension? My initial renders are promising I have to admit.
All in all, I do not wish to be considered a whiner, and find much positive and negative in both offerings. My main question is one that may not be easily resolved - how many of you went to D.S. - without intentions of returning to the Poser wagon? Either happily or begrudging? Note that I posted this on the Daz Studio area?!?!?
