You know, I always knew there had to be good things about NYC and I knew that there was no way it could be all bad there. You have proved to me that NYC looks like a beautiful place.

What a lovely building. I can't believe it's NY. It looks very much like a French chateau. Nice one

This is at the entrance to Forest Hills Gardens, built about 1920. NYC abounds with places like this. Unexpected. It's in Queens, one of the boroughs. The Bronx, which has the worst reputation, also, has some of the most imposing architecture. Most tourists wonder around Times Square, Midtown, and the Village, and never see much.

I live in a tiny little town in New Zealand, I should get some photos... would be quite a contrast to the other images here. Also, we are right next to a 2500m tall mountain which is rather special. I was so fascinated with it when I first came here, but now it's just one of them everyday things...

I'd love to see some pics of New Zealand.- I know what you mean about becoming innured to your surroundings. Strangly enough, when I first came to New York, aside from the size of the buildings, I was most impressed in how small homes where. I grew up in S.America. Anyway, here's a pic of the elevated train.
