I wonder why they are discontinuing upgrades?
Last Chance to Buy TransPoser 2 and VectorStyle 2 Upgrades
The upgrades to TransPoser 2 and VectorStyle 2 will be discontinued effective October 1, 2005. If you own version 1 of either plug-in, September 30 will be the last date you will be able take advantage of the $39 price to upgrade to version 2. After October 1, only full versions of TransPoser 2 and VectorStyle 2 will be available.

Because they want to earn more money?

Hit the user base where it hurts...no upgrade path.

I don't know this but I'd guess they are going to include it in the package outright instead of making it a plug-in. Just a guess. -Kix

Either that or drop the full version price to the upgrade price.

I would take Kixum suggestion first. Ringo

So...what does Transposer2 do that Transposer1 doesn't? I'm reading what they "say" at Eovia, but I'd like to hear from users. Oho -- this is amusing. Current upgrade is $39. Full price is $99. On the details page ("What's new in Transposer2") they have set out in a box with exclamation points a special limited offer on Transposer1........$99.

I think dynamics is supported in TP2. I would like to hear some more about it too.

That is funny. So for $99 you can pick between getting the full version TP1 or the full version of TP2. Hummmm

TP2 imports Poser 5 hair into Carrara scenes.

Heck, I can't get transmapped hair to work right yet.

Do TransPoser2 have Emporer's new gold clothes? "But he has nothing on!" said a little child. "Hush! Hush!" said its father. But the people began to whisper to one another what the child had said; "He has nothing on! A child says he has nothing on!" Soon all the people were saying aloud, "But, he has nothing on!"

TP2 adds suport for dynamic hair (TP1 only supports dynamic cloth) and rendering of Poser figures imported with TP2 on render nodes. So if you have C4Pro you can use TP2 and have a 5 node poser figure render farm.

TP 1 is included in C4Pro and can be upgraded to TP2. TP2 supports dynamic hair and clothing TP 1 doesn't and the 5 node poser render farm.
wolf359 posted Wed, 14 September 2005 at 1:06 PM
TP1 supports dynamic cloth but not poser Dynamic hair which I NEVER use anyway because it looks like kinked piano wire ;-/

Don't foget, TP2 has that nifty "update" button, which is the reason I upgraded, but it doesn't seem to work right. Half the time it doesn't update...
