Hi All as a newbie to vue I would like a little help. I have an idea for an image that requires animals tightly grouped together so that they form a tube like shape but also each at a slightly different angle to appear realistic. The shape of the tube that gets slightly narrower at the top that way as you look up from the bottom you can see all the creatures that are forming the giant tube shape floating in the air so to speak. Regards Keith

I think so, yes. How is the tube created? A model or a terrain? You can try to do it via Ecosystem but it could be that the tube sides are too steep. If that does not work you will have to do it manually i fear - load the model, load the animals and position them. For the ecosystem (good for the manual positioning too of course) you will need to load the animals and save them as vob first. Best with the option "incorporate texture maps". Then you will have no problems later.

The tube I refer to is the shape that is formed by the animals swirling round my question is can a group of animals be controlled in Vue so that they make a tube shape. I have practiced with trees on terrain using eco but this is something else. Are you saying make a circle of one layer of animals save as a vob and then stack these on top of each other making slightley smaller as I go up? Regards keith

I understood. My question was more wether you have a "real" cube as reference or not. It would be good to have that, then it becomes easier.

Hi Wabe "real" cube I'm not sure what you mean?

ups, sorry. I was tired last night when i wrote that. A "real" tube i meant. As reference object. That is what i would do. Load one, position the namimals in whatever way and then delete the reference object.
