Frontapage came with one years ago where you coud just import a folder of images or import an avi. Anyone know of a free program that can convert/create gif animation?

You already own Adobe Image Ready, why not use that? Import files/folders of images or movies,then save as animation (gif) or Flash (swf).

The GIMP will do it from a folder of still images. Instructions at link. :)
