Hi all, With my first steps as a moderator of this forum, i organize an image contest . The topic of the contest is : "the machine" . The image got to be realized mostly in Carrara and posted here at Renderosity, either on the forum or on the gallery before the 30th of march . One or more submisions are allowed . Please notify me by e-mail when you want to submit an image . The winner will receive a copy of the Real World Carrara Metals shader pack i sell on bbay . Feel free to ask any questions . Good luck ! litst litst.@freesbee.fr

And what about RDS? Can we use that? (I think this is still the Carrara/RayDream forum....)

Oops, sorry Chip ! Of course RDS users can take part of the contest . It can be robots, mechanical machinery, vehicles ... Of course, you don't have to stick to reality ! litst

wohoo! its like the 15min contest except we have 30 days. I may actualy have time to make something! ;) Are there any restrictions at all?
litst posted Thu, 01 March 2001 at 3:22 PM
Yes brenthomer, there are restrictions : you must use Carrara or RDS ( or even Raydream 3D ;) and you gotta follow to the topic : "the machine" . The rest is up to your imagination ! litst

Excellent. I've been waiting for a chance to do this project.

Yep, I'm old-school! Thanks for starting this.... It'll be cool to see what the creative folks in this forum create. BTW -- if anybody wants to throw out more of those old 15 min challenges, I'm still game, as time permits!

I didn't understand why we stopped to make those 15 min challenges . That was fun ! I'm a taker too ! litst

Sign me up for the 15 minute thing. I find I lose interest in a project if I can't make significant advances within a night's modeling. (My "I Robot", posted in the gallery, was a three-hour tour...) but, I may just take a whack at the machine thing...
