My Macintosh Poser Pro Pack is exhibiting a strange quirk when playing back Poser movies exported into the Flash format. The Flash movie will play properly for a few seconds, after which old frames remain visible as new frames are displayed. In other words, frames are displayed on top of one another! By the end of the movie, the scene is an incomprehensible jumble of multiple arms, legs, etc. This problem does not occur in every case, but roughly two-thirds of the time. It does not appear to be related to any particular Flash specifications or file dimensions. I'd appreciate your comments or suggestions on what appears to be a bug in the Mac version of the program.

It would not suprise me, since everything else in the Pro-Pack is buggy. Talk about a public beta.

Please contact Curious Labs technical support at tech@curiouslabs.com. I am personally not aware of any Flash issues with the Pro Pack. Is your Flash working properly otherwise? Anthony Hernandez Senior Technical Writer Curious Labs

Bit of a surprise that. The Flash plugin on my version seems to be working pretty well.

Thanks for responding, folks! I contacted Tech support and they told me that there is a bug which makes the Flash movies go haywire if the frame rate is changed from 12 FPS. I've been using 15 FPS, so that must be what's up. Needless to say, motion capture files will be pretty useless until this bug is fixed. Hello to Curious Labs! I think the Pro Pack has great potential, but it needs some major fixes fast. I was disappointed to learn that my Pro Pack actually WON'T work with LightWave 5.6 for Macintosh. Tech support says that the problem lies with NewTek, but I can't wait to hear what happens when I tell NewTek that! You should stop promoting the LightWave compatibility feature for now, at least where Mac 5.6 is concerned. This is a HUGE misrepresentation, whether intentional or not. Also, the program crashes like crazy, especially when switching from the Setup to Posing modes. But it also crashes for the sheer heck of it! All in all, it's going to be a terrific product. But it's not quite there yet.
