I'm thinking of buying the Canon 350D, but only the body. I have a Canon already, though not a digital. So, it's time I think. I have a 28 - 80 mm lense with the other Canon I own already so I'm thinking of a good zoom-in lense and maybe a good macro lense as well. Any comments / advice? I'm quite new at the photography thing so any advice is perfectly welcome :0))

Hehe... Birthday money ! I have a Canon 300D since last december (birthday time !) and I cry everytime I can't use it... It's amazing, and after about 2000-3000 pictures I really begin to play with all the tips it allows. I had a manual argentic reflex (Pentax) and a numeric Nikon coolpix. And waoooh, a DSLR is a real diamond. For the lenses, I have the "standard" 18-55 which is not so bad and bought a Tamron 28-105. It's a little bit short, but my next gift will probably be a wide angle (less than 18, but often expensive), 'cause I make a lot of landscapes, and maybe a macro. So good shopping, and enjoy your new toy !

lol Actually it's not birthday money. I used to be a cyclist, but started gymming in the meantime and now I'm totally hooked. So, the bike was just standing at home and I decided to sell it ;0)) So, I have all this money now and waiting for a friend of ours to go on vacation next month to Europe. He'll bring me the Canon back with him. The cameras are way too expensive to buy in SA. :0))

If you have small hands, then the 350D might be the perfect fit for you. Try it and others out in a store first though. And read some reviews.Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations
