Anyone have a tutorial on how to use the Wind Object in Poser 5? I'd Appreciate it.

What is a CRIF?

haha.... too funny you guys! lol Fo3, you might try being a bit more explicit in what you mean by "Break Wind"... obviously it's something to do in Poser.... but what do you mean by "break" wind? Or do you mean "make wind" as in make a wind effect?

HOW DO I BREAK WIND? ... Let me count the ways ...

No really, the correct answer is ... Veeeeeerrrrry carefully ... especially in public.

BTW - Did you know that ladies NEVER break wind ... but sometimes they're near a dog that does.

;=]

LOL, and at work we encourage "ladies" to just let it go.

It's a natural part of the human anatomy and necessary too. Heck, when ya gotta, ya gotta... ;)

Me? I'm not shy :) However, if it really was the dog...or cat in my case... I'm not taking the blame, LOL

The average human (and I have yet to meet one) releases a minimum of 4 litres of flatulence per day. Of course, I know some people who let their whole daily allowance go in one. And then some. :D

Could you give a little more info on "Wind Object" is it a poser prop or character? It sounds a little like a Poser Python script. If it is a Poser Python script then first it needs to be placed in the poserscripts subfolder located in the Python folder. Once that is done then you can open poser then click file "Run Python Script". If it isn't a script then we will need to know more about what it is in order to help you.

YngPhoenix - the Wind Object is an oject found under Objects in Poser 6 (and I assume Poser 5). You can use it to simulate wind effects in dynamic clothing and hair. Fo3 - I use it a lot with my dynamic clothing renders and have been asked by a few people to put together a tutorial on how to use it. I'm almost finished and should have it done in the next day or so. I will be posting it over at PoserPros in the P6 forum but if you IM me your email, I'll send you a zipped up version when its done.

PoserFashion.net has a tutorial on how to make a dynamic flag wave in the wind. You could skip the rest of it, and just check out the wind object part.

It's pretty straightforward. The only tricky part is that the wind object comes in with a very short range. You have to change that, so it's long enough to reach the object you want it to affect.

Also, wind objects will only affect dynamic cloth and hair, so don't expect your conforming clothing or prop hair to react to it.

"*The average human ... releases a minimum of 4 litres of flatulence per day.*" Hmm...my source--see link--says about half a litre per day, distributed over an average of 14 times. There are many interesting tidbits at this site. Read up and be a blast at parties!
