included are a lot of local artifacts- Indian grinding stones, arrow heads, fossils, cave pieces, etc, etc... (oh & a couple of rattlesnake rattlers & bones thrown into the mix)

Nice Mix cyn!! All I could find was a Stone Hatchet some Giant left hanging around. It's approx 9 feet tall.

If the wife had seen these rocks before we married, she would have grabbed ICM's and I would be under Tetz's pile of rocks. Here 'tis the easy ones, lining the driveway, on chairs, on the front porch, next to the house where only mulch will grow....about a 1/2 ton more are somewhere around here. Hummmmm...I haven't yet lost my rocks. :)

Drove the wife nutzo 'till I said, ok put them around the flowers and on the driveway..anywheree. TomDart.

Close ups and studio quality images available as requested for an unspecified fee....ha, ha, pick from petrified wood, opalized wood, tiny fossils, petrified fern stems from the coal mines, quartz crystals, jades, geodes, agates...it goes on and on and on..can't eat rocks. Too Bad. These would be gone if we could. Old hobbies never quite go away.

Too funny Tom...I have a ton more outside as I collected river rocks for borders. Then I used to make these driftwood creations with little seaguls on them.Would like a few of Cindy's...Guess Tedz could send loads.Sure never seen a hatchet that big Rod.

Mine don't come with rattlesnake rattles and skulls, like Cindy's do. Nice river rocks and the amethyst(?) purple is lovely.

i would not leave without the best ones but have since added to them...
guess i inherited it from my father who said if it hadn't been for math he would've been a geologist,
he has more rocks then i do & has made several "rock gardens"... he was big in spelunking (if you remember "i remember when" in my gallery of him)
& was one of the founders of the UT Speleological Society Grotto Club..
they still meet up & have since met many of the new members since i used to give tours at Gorman Cave, Bend St Park
would luv one of those big amethysts too Doug :]

I have an uncle who gives mine tours and sent me amethyst as it is my birthstone.I've collected rocks as far as I can remeber.One thing here now is we cannot just go grab them from rivers anymore.Hurst the ecology.Or whatever you call it. Balance of the streams.So many people did that rives were going rampant. Yes I have moved with my rocks. All my rockeries in yard have been with me in three different places.

Absolutely right I shoot only pictures.I get my stones from site excavations now. AMazing what comes from construction sites when you wash them off.

The word "confort" is really not the best with beach of rocks!! :o))) but I agree that this's a fantstic game for creativity and immagination!! ..and I'm always wondered to see childs play on a beach this sands and rocks and only their immagination!! Thanks lelepado

Yes, I have mooved with rocks but several years have gone since then. When my bro died in 1999 I moved all his rocks from there to here.. Now these rocks await artistic arrangement! Like a few pieces of exotic wood in the garage with more rocks...I know "sometime" I will have a use for them! HA..: )

Well...I can't show ya the ROCKS in my HEAD so THIS will have to do!

Well my rather uninteresting looking piece of rock has a story. It was born between August 23rd & August 26th AD79. I can't be sure of the exact date, but it is likely to have been nearer to the 26th. The place: What is now southern Italy near Naples. It had a fiery start to life. Formed deep within the Earth where the Eurasian and African plates collide before being forcibly ejected high into the sky to fall like billions of others upon the bustling lively port city of Pompeii. It is a piece of pummice picked up from a spoil heap at one of the many excavations still going on around Pompeii.

Nice rocks everyone and a great topic Cyn! I could post my collection of crystals, or some other odds and ends rocks, but I thought I better post this big pile I found in the jungles of Belize. Ha tedz, my pile is bigger! ;] This is the ruins of the High Temple at Lamanai in Belize. I have it posted in my gallery as well. From the top (and what a climb THAT was) you could see over the treetops for miles and miles.

I have no idea where it comes from but I just love that amber color!

Great stones all over the world. This one is called "Goose" in the south of France (a place called Sidobre). Enjoy it.

Oh yes Cyn!! Lots of energy in stones, definitely!! :) Some are good for some and some aren't! I know crystal is too powerful for me and drives me hysterical!! I had an experience with it in Turkey! Couldn't stop laughing for hours!! Really strange! O_o

Amber is lovely. Wish I had some but it is so hard to tell if it is authentic in street markets of the Baltic states. Yours has a gorgeous golden glow Pascale. Cyn - where did you get your arrow heads? I picked up some similar in Australia but they were of a blue crystal type of rock.

@pascale.. lol! ..that'd i'd like to see! :] oh crossed with you rich... most of the arrow heads are found right here on the property... there is an old Indian camp ground near the river.. under one of the cliffs & another not far from it going up to a lookout area

Sidobre is located in Tarn et Garonne. It's near Albi.
