Every time I tried to post a message in our forum, the message doesn't appear and I am redirected to the big index of forums. Hell, I don't even know if this message will go through or how it does if it makes it. But there's definitely something fishy going on with our forums.

Haven't had that happen lately, but in the past if I took more than 5 minutes or so to compose a message it would sometimes do that.

Does it to me somtimes. Never know when or why. Things to try. Copy your text to clipboard or notepad and save if your going to reboot. Then another browser, or reboot or close browser then reopen and try again pasting in the hopfully copied message. Some of these seem to work occasionally. Ive had some luck with clearing temporary internet files or cookies or both, then close browser and try again. Most success has been by trying to resubmit a few times. Good Luck

I have it sometimes when there is a time out. I start writing a message, have to leave my PC for a while, come back in an hour or so, finish the message, send it...and get redirected to the forum index.

Changed your firewall settings recently? I did and it caused this until I sussed the problem out - the firewall was blocking some of the traffic - hence no posts created....

Same here, after about 5 - 10 minutes the post won't go through but I just hit the back button - my post is still there and then I resubmit. Mac Safari browser. It really seems to depend on how many people are logged on.

i've always had it happen when i forgot i was writing something in here, left it for like 10 minutes, and then came back and hit submit. it's really just the timeout for the post session i think drac (smrt)

I personally haven't had much problems, but it seems there have been fewer post lately. A sign of others having your problem and getting discouraged? My dial up is so slow it has to go backwards before I can tell a difference.

It only seems to happen to me when I take a long time to write a post. Like Drac said it is probably a timeout behavior.

The timeout factor is the one that I`ve been blaming too when that happens to me. Maybe Agentsmith or Zhann knows the awful truth?

Yup, it's a timeout problem (I had that explained to me sometime back by someone in the "community" forum). IIRC, the timeout is currently 15 mins (was 5 mins). Simple answer: ALWAYS copy your post to the clipboard just before you post. Then if you get bounced, hit the back button. If the post isn't there, just paste it in and send. It should take just a few secs to do that..:-)) With me, it's now become a habit. I even find myself doing it on e-mails (in Yahoo), where there's no timeout at all.. Cheers, Diolma

Trinity: It's the question that drives us, Neo. It's the question that brought you here. Trinity: A dvu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something. As diolma says, it's a timeout problem.

Thanks guys, you've given me quite a variety of responses. And as you can see, my posts work wonderfully now.
