I thought my Poser import was still working after I installed Poser 6 - but today I went to import a scene from Poser 5 and it tells me I have an incorrect serial number... Or next try it throws an error #-10006 Does it do something stupid like go looking for a serial number and grab the first one it sees? Which in my case is obviously Poser 6......

To which Poser version Vue is pointing? This is an important question for understanding what is happening.

I haven't changed it from Poser 5 as far as I am aware - that is what is strange about it. I haven't done anything with Vue for ages opened it up yesterday and this happened. I'm hoping I don't have to do a reinstall

Which version of Vue are you using? Have you updated it?

4.22 - it was working fine - can't remember whether I tried it after I installed Poser 6 or not. Got me stymied.....

I think you should contact the e-on technical support. They have more knowlesge about the processes inside than we do. Sorry for that, but we haven't had that so far. Would be interesting to know what the solution is/was when it is solved. For future questions.

Hmmm...that is strange. I'm thinking Vue is seeing the P6 Poser exe instead of the P5, and Vue 4.22 probably won't work correctly with P6. I agree with Walther; a tech support ticket is probably the best way to go with this right now.

Thought I would try here before rushing off to Tech support - I'd say that the issue is it's reading the P6 serial as it was fine before I installed P6. I'll post back if we get to the bottom of it....

I have the same problem - although I re-install windows a while ago & just bothered to install Poer 6. So are you saying that I can not import using Poser 6 - is so, doesthis mean that I will have to intall Poser 5 & all of my contents? Please say no....

Well, Vue 4 is about 3 or 4 years old, and Poser 6 is about 6 months old. No surprise that Poser 6 might confuse the heck out of poor old Vue 4! As I recall, the last Vue 4 update was after Poser 5 was released, I think it was 4.22, and it helped with all the changes from Poser 4 to 5, but Vue 4 hasn't been updated since then, and since e-on is moving on with their product line, I doubt very much it will be.

Well, Bushy, since Vue 4 is about 4 years old, with Vue 4 Professional and then the Vue 5 products available, and the new Vue 5 Easel coming any day, why would they invest time and effort in updating a 4-year old product? It works great for what it is, but if you look at my post to your question above, you'll see what I mean as far as moving on.
