Friend of mine exported a Poser6 figure as a PZ3. The figure loads fine in my Poser4, but none of the morphs work, I can't get the figure to smile! What is wrong?

If your friend switches off use external morphs and saves the pz3 again then it should work.

The only way you can legally use Poser 6 figures in Poser 4 is to own a copy of Poser 6. Anything else is a breach of copyright. PZ3s don't carry a copy of the figure geometry anyway, so I assume you must have copied the decompressed OBJ from your friend's machine.

It could be a figure that they both have (not one of the original poser 6 figures).

PZ3s don't carry a copy of the figure geometry anyway .... Not by default, at any rate. The geometry can be embedded manually, though.

One of the older versions of poser 4 could save pz3 files with the geometry embedded but it got changed later.

EnglishBob is right, I got OBJ-file along with the PZ3. I did not know this was a copyright-problem. If this is right, I'll try no further...
