I want to get animated smoke to "rise". The obvious solution would seem to be to modify the Z origin of the function controlling density with time. I just can't figure how to get time into the Z part of the vector input required. Ideas anyone?

Hi, and thanks very much Paul. I'll give it a try.

Yep, that'll do nicely! At least for the lit side of the smoke, see attached (requires DivX 5.1) on the case of the shaded side now!:)Message edited on: 09/27/2005 20:37

Wow John, that looks great. Much better than some of those fire and smoke after effects plugins I've been using.
