Anyone done any benchmarking on Carrara renders on the new Intel dual core processors (630s) versus the single cores? While 2 cores seems like it ought to run faster on a render, they are a little slower (less than 5% so not much diff there) and their L2 caches are half size (per processor, more significant). If the working set size on a typical render is greater than 1MB, the second core might not add much. Just wondering if anyone has any benchmarking data they could point me to.
