Hello. I imported this Voyager .3ds mesh by 'Ed Giddings' into poser 6. but when it renders, there are distortions seen on the hull mesh area. is there anyway to clean this up? or avoid it happening. Thanks

Yep, there is a relatively simple way to do it.

Load the model into Poser, then export as OBJ with all options unchecked.

Load the OBJ into UVMapper and select "Split Vertices".

Save the new mesh out, load into Poser and the lines will be crisp and sharp.

The distortion is caused by Poser's attempt to smooth out objects to give them a more organic look. Great for people and animals, not so great for starships. Nice image, BTW.
